28th Amendment
As Proposed by the People of the United States
A proposal for a 28th Amendment:
"Senators and Congressmen must include themselves in any
mandate required of American citizens."
If you are concerned that our politicians are mandating programs and taxes that they themselves
are exempt from, then sign the petition below, and commit that you will not vote to either elect or
re-elect any Senator or Congressman that refuses to support this amendment.
In the US, the people cannot
initiate an amendment, it must be
initiated by Congress.  Congress
can propose an amendment that
must then be ratified by
three-fourths of all the state
legislatures or constitutional
conventions.

BUT, WE THE PEOPLE can use the
power of our collective votes and
voices to corral our politicians and
make them accountable to us and
to make sure that any programs
they deem fit for us is also suitable
for them and their families.

representatives as part of this petition,
without your permission
unless in anonymous aggregate form.  
I want my federal representatives to pass a Constitutional
Amendment that ensures that Senators and Congressmen must

Most Senators and Congressmen refuse to sign a bill that states that they
will vote to forgo their Federal Employees Health Benefit Plan
if they should pass a Health Reform Bill.  
Why do they feel that any plan they agree on is good enough for all of us,
but not good enough for them or their families?
